From the East

Dear Brethren,

I hope this email finds you well. We had a fantastic turnout hosting the recent MMA meeting at our lodge, and it was wonderful to see so many of our fellow Master Masons come together. We sincerely hope to witness more of our brothers participating in various activities throughout our district. Remember, these events are open to all Master Masons, and your presence is always welcomed and valued.

I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to the brothers who attended the funeral service of our departed brother, Fred Hamilton. Your presence and support during this difficult time meant a great deal to his family. I extend a special thanks to R:.W:. Rex for delivering such a beautiful service.

Additionally, I want to thank all the brethren and their families who attended the recent Get Together event held last Saturday. This event was designed to foster a sense of community and camaraderie outside the lodge room, and it was heartwarming to see our brothers, their families, and friends come together. While we are actively exploring other venue options, for now, we will continue to use Cinemark for our gatherings.

A special appreciation goes out to Brother JW for organizing the street clean-up, and I want to thank all the brothers who participated this past weekend. Your efforts to make our community a better place do not go unnoticed.

As we approach the end of my term, we have some exciting events lined up in the coming months that I would like to share with you all. Please mark your calendars for the following dates:

Stated Communication - November 2nd at 7:30 PM

During this gathering, we will address both old and new lodge business topics.

MM Degree - November 16th at 7:30 PM

We will be conferring the Master Mason degree, and your presence and support are greatly appreciated.

Table Lodge - November 30th at 7:30 PM

Join us for a memorable evening of fellowship and camaraderie during our Table Lodge.

Boca Raton 51st Annual Holiday Street Parade - December 6th at 7:30 PM

Location: Federal HWY and SE 5th Street

Come and be part of our festive parade as we celebrate our Masonic community.

I am looking forward to your active participation in these upcoming events. Your involvement is what makes our lodge strong and vibrant. If you have any questions or would like to contribute in any way, please do not hesitate to reach out. Together, we can make the final months of my term truly memorable.

For your convenience, I have compiled a link https://linktr.ee/bdlodge171 containing all the important information pertaining to our lodge and Freemasonry. This serves as a comprehensive resource for accessing vital information about our fraternity. Should you have any suggestions or additions, please feel free to approach me directly.

Please check the charities we support and let me know if you want to get involved.

Thank you for your attention and continued support. Together, let us strive to make Boca-Delray No 171 F.&A.M. a beacon of excellence within our community.

Lastly, I kindly request each and every one of you to spare a minute of your time to review our Lodge https://g.page/r/CdaxednxPKNcEBM/review. Your positive reviews and ratings will greatly enhance our online visibility and ultimately contribute to the growth of our membership.

Fraternally yours,

W∴ M∴ Alexandre Ferrari

From the West

Dear Beloved Brethren,

In times of war, it is crucial to come together in prayer, hoping for the triumph of good over evil.

In light of this renewed sense of unity and camaraderie, I wholeheartedly encourage all our Brothers to actively foster connections with one another beyond the confines of the Lodge. Our monthly gathering at the Cinemark Bistro, scheduled for the last Saturday of every month, offers a perfect opportunity for this. Please stay updated with event details and dates by visiting our website at https://www.bocadelray171.org/event.

The Finance Committee took a brief pause in October as we prepare for an important vote on the endowment fund. Should any Brother have questions or concerns regarding our Lodge's finances, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

Let us also take a moment to enhance our Masonic knowledge. I encourage every Brother to revisit or explore our Masonic Etiquette, which you can access by clicking here: [Masonic Etiquette - GL208](https://www.grandlodgefl.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/GL-208-Masonic-Etiquette-Booklet-1.pdf).

In the spirit of continued learning, I'd like to share insights about the CORRESPONDENCE (MASONIC):

"'CORRESPONDENCE (MASONIC):

When addressing mail to a Brother Mason, do not put his title as such on the envelope. It should be addressed as:

Hon. John Doe

In the salutation of the letter the title should appear as:

R∴ W∴ John Doe 71 West 23rd Street New York City, NY

Dear Brother Doe,"

Let us continue to strengthen our fraternity by fostering open communication and support among our Brothers. Remember, if you wish to contribute or require assistance, reach out - we are here for each other!

As we step into November, may it be a month filled with happiness. I look forward to the pleasure of your company in our Lodge.

Fraternally,

S.W. Rafael Nioac de Salles

From the South

Greetings from the South Brethren!

I would like to start this November off with a sincere thank you to the entire Degree team that helped out with our FC Degree from 10/19. It was a great evening and an even better Degree and I would not have been able to do my part without all of you. As far as this coming November goes, I don't have much to bring you from the South. Just great food and fellowship to look forward to with all of you Brothers. As always, the meals will be posted to the WhatsApp group chat the day before. Hope to see you all at the next dinner!

Fraternally,

J.W. Nick Richard

From the Secretary

Fraternal Greetings Brethren, I hope that you have attended lodge and appreciated all the renovations and improvements that have been made. Boca Delray 171 is now in the 21 st Century!

As for the 21st Century, our lodge and Brethren who are adapt at using the PC and creating web- site have also jumped on board with not only going paperless but have offer us the option of remitting payments electronically. Remitting payment to any organization or business is a much safer way of paying a fee. Power company, water, IRS, vehicle tag etc. I know of a company who remitted a $2,000.00 dollar payment for services rendered, a criminal took that envelope and changed the amount to $20,000.00 and cashed the check. I know that you may say how can this be, what bank would cash it, how can the figure be changed, why didn’t the red flags pop up? We don’t know but the business now has the aggravation of trying to rectify the problem. Please don’t put yourself in this situation, use an E-payment (electronic payment). You can also save your E-payment receipts on a drive on you PC and have less

clutter and more accountability.

Our PC savvy Brothers have also created a paperless Trestleboard which saves so much time in not having to print them out, fold and enclose in an envelope as well as pay postage. And again, the monthly Trestleboards can be easily saved to your drive.

The lodge’s website is highly informative as it offers a calendar of events, a Masonic supply store, officer’s contact info and links to other websites such as Scottish Rite and Master Mason’s Association amongst others.

It is also attracting potential members which is the lifeblood of a lodge. I thank all those who are engaged in and improving our communication process to a paperless electronic method, an environmentally friendly method as there is no paper being tossed out or the opportunity of someone finding the page and using your information illegally.

Oh, by the way, we have a Brother who lives in Europe, his dues statement is sent via email. No postage and he receive it in seconds. He also remits payment electronically.

You should have received your 2024 dues statement. Please remit in a timely manner and always inform the lodge secretary if you have moved, changed your phone number or email address. This time of year, I receive many statements returned non-deliverable because Brother moved and have not informed the lodge. I also unfortunately learn of those who have passed during the year.

In closing, I hope that we can all enjoy the cooler temperature and have a wonderful happy healthy Thanksgiving.

Fraternally,

R:.W:.. Mike Sinatra

Secretary
