From the East
I would like to express my gratitude to the Brothers who attended the Get Together for Family and Friends last Saturday of the month. Your presence was greatly appreciated.
I would also like to bring your attention to our upcoming events. Kindly refer to our calendar for more details. It is with great pleasure that I announce that two of our Brothers will be receiving their Master Mason Degree at Cornerstone Lodge #416. The ceremony will take place at 555 NE 42nd Ct, OAKLAND PARK, FL 33334-3113 on Tuesday, August 29. We will gather for dinner at 6:00 pm followed by the Degree at 7:00 pm. Your support and presence would mean a lot to Brothers Laz Pena and Richard J. Ridky.
In other news, I am delighted to inform you that our construction project is moving along smoothly. We are anticipating to reopen in September. However, in the meantime, I would like to propose an online meeting to keep in touch and see how everyone is doing. This will be a great opportunity for Brothers who are currently away in different states or countries to participate. Let's stay connected until we can meet in person again.
I have provided the Google Meet link for our online meeting on August 3rd at 6:00 pm : https://meet.google.com/ger-shcv-kyb. Please mark your calendars and make sure to join us for this virtual gathering.
Furthermore, I kindly request that you review our updated By-laws. The Most Worshipful Glen Bishop has signed the changes, which include an increase in our dues from $136 to $236, along with the per-capita and additional contributions. It is important for all members to be aware of these updates.
Lastly, please take note of our stated meetings. We will be holding our Stated Communication on the 1st Thursday of each month and a Called Communication meeting on the 3rd Thursday.
Thank you for your attention to these matters. I appreciate your continued support and involvement in our Lodge. Let us strive to make our Brotherhood stronger
I would also like to bring to your attention that we are actively searching for a reliable supplier to meet our masonic needs. While I have found a temporary supplier at Macoy Publishing for Boca Delray Lodge No 171 shirts, I would greatly appreciate any recommendations or suggestions for a trustworthy supplier. Kindly let me know if you have any leads in this regard.
Moreover, I would like to appeal to each and every brother to contribute nonperishable food items, which will be donated to Boca Helping Hands. Your generosity will go a long way in supporting those in need within our community.
As part of our efforts to streamline payment processes, I am thrilled to announce that Boca Delray Lodge is now accepting payments through Cash App. Our unique identifier is $BocaDelrayLodge171, and you can even try it out using the code 8WGVHFS. By utilizing this platform, not only will you be able to conveniently pay your dues, but the lodge will also receive $15, and you'll receive $5 as a token of appreciation. Please note that there are no additional fees for using this app, benefiting both you and the lodge. We also accept payments through Zelle at bdlodge171@gmail.com
Additionally, I would like to emphasize the importance of promoting our collation room. For brethren who are unable to obtain liability insurance, we have partnered with Giggster https://giggster.com/listing/masonic-lodge-fl to facilitate the renting process. However, if renters can provide their own insurance, kindly contact me directly. The rental price is negotiable, and we are open to discussions based on individual circumstances.
Lastly, I kindly request each and every one of you to spare a minute of your time to review our Lodge https://g.page/r/CdaxednxPKNcEBM/review. Your positive reviews and ratings will greatly enhance our online visibility and ultimately contribute to the growth of our membership.
For your convenience, I have compiled a linktree https://linktr.ee/bdlodge171 containing all the important links pertaining to our lodge and Freemasonry. This serves as a comprehensive resource for accessing vital information about our fraternity. Should you have any suggestions or additions, please feel free to approach me directly.
Please check the charities we support and let me know if you want to get involved.
Thank you for your attention and continued support. Together, let us strive to make Boca-Delray No 171 F.&A.M. a beacon of excellence within our community.
Fraternally yours,
W∴ M∴ Alexandre Ferrari

From the West
My beloved Brethren:
Our Lodge is under renovation, and we will be back to action soon in a beautiful new Lodge room. While we are dark, we can benefit from meeting our Brothers outside the Lodge, as per our monthly get-together at Cinemark Bistro every last Saturday of the month. Follow the events' dates and information on our website at https://www.bocadelray171.org/event.
The Finance Committee had no meetings in July as we are waiting to vote on the endowment fund when the Lodge returns. If any brother has any questions about our finances, please do not hesitate to contact me.
A bit of Masonic education, I encourage my Brothers to read or re-read our Masonic Etiquette (click here GL208). Sharing the item about BIBLE PRESENTATION:
"BIBLE PRESENTATION:
Our regulations prescribe that the Bible used in the Lodge Room should be the unadorned Holy Bible. It is not believed that this prohibits the presentation to a new Brother of a Bible bearing the Square and Compasses on the back, the remainder of the covering being plain and of a solid color, nor does it prohibit the use of a Bible having a page in the front for recording the presentation.
It goes without saying that no one new member is to be singled out for such a presentation; if the Lodge authorizes such a presentation, then a Bible should be presented to each new member thus received.
When so presented, the officiant presenting the same should deliver a short and dignified message as to the place the Holy Bible occupies in Masonry and its significance and binding effect upon every Mason."
Let's keep our fraternity strong and increase our communication among Brothers. If you want to help or need anything, reach out!
I wish you all a fabulous March and hope to see you all in Lodge.
Fraternally,
S.W. Rafael Nioac de Salles

From the South
Greetings from the South Brethren!
WIth the lodge being dark, I don't have too much to update you brothers on. I hope that all of you are having a great summer. Much like you guys, I'm looking forward to our lodge being up and running again. Until then, I hope to catch you guys at the extra functions our lodge holds. The baseball game was a lot of fun and great to see all who attended. Stay cool in this heat brothers and enjoy the rest of the summer!

From the Secretary
Fraternal Greeting Brothers.
We are halfway through the Lodge being Dark and very happy to say so. It is certainly not the same without our monthly Communications and meet and greets. Also, petitions have slowed down greatly.
Out of the maybe 30 email late notices with a link to pay 2023 dues, I’m sorry to say that two Brothers have paid but thank them. Also, on the 14 letters I mailed with a stamped return address envelope asking Brothers to provide a phone and email address, 5 came back non- deliverable which most likely means they are deceased. Five provided the info and 4 no response. You may ask why I assume they are deceased? Looking up their Masonic profile, some were born 1927 and thereabouts, it’s a fair assumption but with help we are researching these Brother's whereabouts.
Second dues late notices will be mailed out shortly and I certainly hope that there will be a more robust reply.
Fraternally,
R:.W:.. Mike Sinatra
