From the East

My Brothers, I hope this email finds you all in good health and spirits. I want to congratulate you all on the passing on and agreeing to the signing of the letter of intent for the land sale proposal. This is truly going to be a great once in a lifetime deal for our Lodge and will solidify our financial foundation for decades and even longer. With that being said, the Torah Academy is currently drawing up a final sale agreement that we will be voting on the 2nd meeting in September, the 15th. I hope you all will show up and vote in support.

I’d like to congratulate the newly raised Brothers. The Degree team did a great job. I’d like to thank them for putting in all that hard work. The 2nd meeting in August, the 18th, we will be having an awards night, please come join us.

Until then be well my Brothers and we will see you soon.

Fraternally,

W∴ Anthony W. Denton

From the Secretary

Greetings Brethren. Our second Communication in August will be our Awards

Evening. Several recently Raised Brothers will receive their Master Mason

Certificates, one Brother will be presented his 60-year certificate amongst other

brethren receiving certificates. Awards presentations are always interesting as

we honor those who have served the Fraternity for many years.

A word of thanks to the South. Our Brother Salles has an excellent kitchen crew

who has been providing outstanding meals purchased from restaurants offering

tasty selections. Brothers Nick Richard, Sam Goldstein, Eric Figueora, Jesse

Mercado and W:. Hal Peritz have been working steadily to please hungry

stomachs. Kudo to them as I always hear nice compliments being offered. On

another note, not too many Brothers kick in $10 dollars or even a cent to barely

cover the cost of the meal, the lodge usually comes up less than 50% of the cost.

Brethren, you are being offered a quality meal at a fair price, please contribute to

the cost. Thank you.

The first week of August I will be mailing out Second Late Notices for those who

have not paid their 2022 dues. For those who have remitted dues, thank you.

These funds enable us to provide meals, pay electric, water, landscaping, perform

repairs and on and on. We have the same expenses that a home, condo or

apartment dweller has. If you are still in arrears kindly pay your dues soon.

The Lodge is still offering brass dedication chair plates at $50.00. You can put you

name, in honor or memory of someone or a saying. Recently a Brother received

his plate with his name and Semper Fi on it. That’s about one of the finest short

phrases one can say, and it says volumes!!!

Upcoming District 25

Master Mason Degree teams

(part 1)

My Brothers,

The statewide Degree competition for this year will be held for the Master Mason Degree (part 1). Our goal is to have multiple teams competing from the 25th Masonic District. These teams can be from each Lodge, or we can have multiple Lodges getting together to form one team. If you are not totally proficient in this Degree please do not

be worried, we will be having multiple practices at different Lodges around the District to get everyone up to speed. At these practices we will be having in depth instruction on all the ritual and esoteric work in part 1 of the Master Mason Degree as mandated by the Committee on Work. Any Master Mason in good standing is eligible to participate and it will provide you an enhanced knowledge in the ritual and floorwork of the Master Mason Degree as well as an increase in comradery with the Brothers of our District. Please reach out to me if you have any interest in joining the Degree teams and representing the 25th Masonic District.

Fraternally & Sincerely,

R:.H:. Sal Musumeci

The Grand Lodge of Florida developed this comprehensive course of study to instruct Brothers on the proper procedures and responsibilities of each Lodge Officers, and how to conduct the important business of their particular Lodge. Courses are presented by the District Chairman, and a certificate is issued upon successful completion of all 15

modules.

The Grand Lodge of Florida provides Master Mason Examinations to be open book type exams, designed to give any Master Mason the opportunity to increase his knowledge of some of the Ancient Tenets, Rules and Regulations of Masonry. They contain a mixture of multiple choice, True or False, or essay questions which should be answered on the answer sheet, as provided in the exam downloads.

The Grand Lodge of Florida encourages all members of the Craft to further their knowledge of Lodge operation, especially those concerning the Elected and Appointed

Officers of each particular Lodge. The Lodge Officers Training program was designed to educate and test your knowledge of Lodge procedures, business, penal code, and other areas. Let There Be Light
